Hockey Cares for Kids', mission is to utilize the popularity of the game of hockey to enhance the quality of life of economically underprivileged youth and their families.
Our goal is to use lessons learned on the ice as players and teammates to foster character and a shared sense of community responsibility, both of which are critical for successful personal and interpersonal development. Hockey Cares for Kids aims to help urban youth develop integrity, respect, accountability, character, self- discipline, personal responsibility and teamwork. We reach communities with these four programs: 1. Urban Street Hockey "Hockey in the Streets" 2. "We Skate" Learn to Skate Program 3. "We Play Hockey" Program 4. Hockey vs. Bullies Presentations |
